I know that ex-heroin-addicts go to methadone clinics so that they don’t go into withdrawal and so that if they try and inject heroin they won’t feel the effects.

I am a Pain Management patient and have been for nearly 2 years now. I was on OxyContin then MS Contin and now just recently Methadone 5mg taken orally three times per day. I was wondering if taking my breakthrough pain medications (Diluadid 4-8mg and Oxycodone IR 15-30mg) would still work? 15mg of Methadone is a very small dose compared to those people of methadone maintaince so idk?
Perhaps I’m confusing Methadone with Suboxone?
