Rovie Dog K9 Advantix Side Effects. BEWARE – Rovie my 5 year old dog unable to stand up 3 weeks after giving K9 Advantix flee and tick medication. For 3 weeks he has declined to this state. All vet tests have been done and everything looked normal, except him. He’s now on pain medication and we’ve been told to “wait and see” what happens in the 4th week. The hope is that the K9 Advantix will run it’s 30 day course, and he will recover fully. This dog has a reputation for being a wild spaz…running, jumping etc. So sad to see him this way. Shot on July 14, 2011. It is with a heavy heart that I must tell you that Rovie died on July 20th. Exactly 27 days from giving him his first ever dose of K9 Advantix II. The only way I can make sense of this senseless loss is to hope that his death will educate other pet owners to RESEARCH everything that you put on your animal. And to ONLY buy from a trusted vet. If I had not purchased this product from PetMeds I would have better recourse, and support form my vet, to investigate this product. Thank you for all the support during this terrible month.
