Question by PyxiWulf: What are the physical effects of tolerance to Adderall?
I’ve gone from being alert, awake, and on task daily to the last three days feeling like I could just sleep all day long. I’m curious if this is crashing from tolerance building.
I’m on the lowest dose of XR so it’s one dose a day every 24 hours. I don’t skip or delay doses, I take it exactly as prescribed with no other meds or life changes.

I have taken Ritalin and Adderall on and off (switched between the 2) for the last 20 years. my doctor has always made sure i took it on a regular daily dose – i take it 3 times a day, at the same time. and even on the weekends. the “withdrawal” or “crashing” symptoms come when you skip doses. even if you aren’t studying or working, make sure to take it on the weekends. if you are still feeling that crashing feeling you might be taking too much, too close together so i would talk to your doctor about that for sure. have you switched anything else? your diet? your stress levels? or added any new meds?
