Resolved Question: Are there other pain management options than drugs?

I’m a caretaker for a 65 yo, 400# man who has a serious hip and leg problem. He is in extreme pain while slowly taking off weight for surgery. He takes methadone, baclofen, and now a fentanyl patch. He takes a lot of methadone each month that makes pharmacists roll their eyes, but the doctors are OK with it. He’s immobile and at the cut off age, so weightloss surgeons reject him for bariatric surgery. The primary doctor started him on methadone, so pain management doctors reject him for their methods. It’s tough to watch this great guy degrade and the worse places to call for help are doctor offices who have almost no other answers to help him.
