Resolved Question: how do me and my husbands sex drive get back to normal now that we are on methadone?

We have been on methadone going on 4yrs. and the side effects are not so great.Don’t get me wrong it has in the long run been a money saver and even maybe a life saver.I can deal with some of the side effects, the sweating, the constipation,even the weight gain, but my husbands and my sex life has been or lack there of is not at all.We always had a wonderful sex life, things that I never thought I would do we did.It has even taken a toll on our marriage which I thought would never happen to us but it has.If there is something that can be done to help we would love to know.We have tried the vitamins and it did not help.We would greatly appreciate it if someone could tell us something to get a sex life back on track.

I have been trying to help a friend with chronic pain (she broke her back a year ago and got addicted to oxy) She has been dosing with methadone for a few months to help with pain and she has a problem with smoking crack I’m new to the area and not used to drug addicts or how to help but I think she’s on crack when we hang out all though she swore and swears she wont do it around me. Could it be the methadone? What are the side effects of being on methadone. Also what are some of smoking crack? Thanks so much, Im trying to help her but feel like she lies about when she’s on crack. Also what can I do to help her? Thanks :))

Wanted to add extra details… She was very talkative, sweaty and freaking out over everything, I mean I got a phone call and it was too much for her to handle me being on the phone. I’m leaning towards crack… unfortunately because she has two kids and I want to help her so badly! Thanks
