Resolved Question: Any opiate withdrawal advice?

I have been all types of opiate pain killers for over 6 years. I’m currently on Fentanyl patches 6mg changed every other day. I’m also taking Norco… I’m totally addicted. Not like robbing houses or anything like that but in my heart I know I need to get off but my body keeps demanding more. If I didn’t have a seizure disorder I would just detox on my own but with a 3 yr old that’s not gonna happen so I’m being weaned. It’s hard! I was on Meth for 6 years and getting off that was nothing! I’ve been told before that I should look into Methadone but from I can find online it seems like you’re trading one for another. I have insomnia and anxiety to begin with and this is making it worse. Anyone gone through this? Any ideas or suggestions to help me? I wish I could check myself into a detox center but I don’t have anyone who could watch my son! Thanks guys!

i was on suboxone for months. i tried hard to taper and it just seemed harder and harder. i couldnt adjust to my lowered dose because the dose i was taking already before tapering was too low and not stabalized to feel comfortable to lower it. well my insuarnce is running out so i had no choice but to detox off of the sub.sub wd can last up to a month.i couldnt handle the lengthy wd.so i began to use heroin again.i decided i would quit heroin at 14 days.i am hoping i can just cold turkey for 5days and be done with the worst of the sub and heroin wd.how much longer will it last?can i take a few methadone to get me through the first 5 days of my heroin and sub detox?will taking another suboxone start the whole sub wd all over again? or prolong it? i just want off subs all together, if taking another sub will make me have to start all over with the sub detox process then i would rather just take a methdone or nothing at alll. can any one help answer some of my questions and tell me a little bit about methdone? it would be nice to know if its possible to take methdone to avoid the wds of heroin for a day or a couple days then jump off completly.i might only get one or two methdones to begin with. i just dont wanna get hooked on those and prolong withdrawals any longer. please help i just wanna be free from my addictions for once in a long time.!
