I was with a man and started taking opiates young, lead to heroin. Was on a methadone clinic for about 2 more years, then suboxone. My bf died from an overdose. I was in hospitals and I have been on so many medications but I’m finding it doesn’t make a difference. I’m trying to deal with it having no medications. I’m also very withdrawn, I have anxiety, I HATE leaving my room never mind my house. I’ve trusted numerous doctors but it’s always the same run around like a test subject for a year with a medication, and then a new doctor. I am 23 and I was last on 200mg Effexor a day, 150mg Lamictal a day, 200mg trazadone a day, 20 mg adderall xr twice a day, and 4mg of xanax a day. Am I nuts or is this WAY too much medication for me? I just was switched from Effexor to Lexapro and I’m weaning up slowly on the Lexapro and feeling worse with horrible side affects, so I stopped it, but I’m still on everything else. It seems strange after expressing how much I hate being on medications after being an addict that every single doctor seems to prescribe me SO much and SO many. I try working with my doctor but she just recommends keeping with this new med, even though I have confusion, muscle pain, horrible migraines, nausea, no appetite, everything! Anyone else gone through this? Any help? Desperate!

Open Question: Will Job Corp deny you if you’re on methadone ?

So my friend wants to join job corp. Unfortunately in the past he had some drug problems, but eventually he wanted to get clean and got set up on a methadone maintenance program. We’ve been trying to look up what Job corps. policy is on this type of thing, we know that there is a zero tolerance for illegal drug use and that won’t be a problem, but there isn’t any info on our main question. So to summarize :

My friend is on methadone and has been for over a year and has clean drug tests for every month since he started to show he’s been off of illicit drugs, he wants to join Job Corps and wants to know if you can while on methadone maintenance ?

well ok lets get it out there and in the open, im 22, 4 months pregnant, and on methadone for opiate addiction for last 5 yrs. im on 92mg, went up from 60 because as i expected my normal dose wasnt holding me while pregnant. but now its not holding me thru the morning now and all i want to do is just get high. but i wont do that cuz its been a very long time and i was starting to get off the clinic when i found out i was pregnant, but they wont let me detox pregnant. im just very annoyed that i go up and then a week later i feel like crap again. just idk what to do and im really not to fond of going up so high on my dose, the people at the clinic wont help, just ready to put my dose up. i just dont know what to do and how to get over these feelings, i havent felt like this in 4 years

Open Question: Anyone in New York City on a methadone clinic?

I’m 62 and have been on methadone since 2001. I don’t like it but must take it or be in such severe pain that I could not bare it. So, I get my medication from a pain clinic in Houston, which is approx 25 miles from me. I also have hep. C and cirrhosis of the liver and have been told methadone is the least damaging to the liver when it comes to pain meds. Luckily, I only go once every 2 months and insurance covers 100%. I get a white 10mg tab, enough to take 6 per day. To me it is not as strong as the old orange tabs made by Rooch. What is available there as I may be there sometime by July, 2012. Thanks Robert
