Open Question: when in a methadone clinic what do they test for in the urine?
i am on methadone & when i go in to see my doctor every couple of weeks the do a urine screen. obviously they are checking for heroin, cocaine, meth. What i want to know is are the checking for methadone? &/or can they tell if its in there?

Open Question: How could I get 2 False Positives on Drug Screens?
My Family Doctor moved 6 months ago after 20 years of seeing me as a patient. In 2003 I was in a motorcycle accident and broke my collarbone (non union), they stopped counting at 14 rib fractures, fractured Pelvis and broke 1/3 of my scapula off. It is gone. I have wondered where it is, the Dr. thought it was pulverized. I have been prescribed Lortab 4x a day, I only take 2 because I don’t want to be an addict. The Pain Clinic offered me Oxycontin. I refused it and walked out. I guess it was rude but I thought they were going to do some therapy, maybe a little rubdown and stretching not get me hooked on pills. I was on Flexeril for several years and the Doc said he thought it was making me depressed. He said I want to try something else. He gave me Soma 4x a day. I was taking 2 a day but cut back to 1 1/2 a day for the past 6 months. I had never even heard of Soma before that, since then I have heard it was a terrible drug, it does take pain away. I also take 15mg Valium, he prescribed me 20mg but I cut my afternoon dose to 5mg and a whole one (10mg) in the evening. I thought this would make the other Doctor see that I wasn’t drug seeking and get me an atta-boy. Instead he did a urine test and sent it in. It came back positive for Oxycontin. I stewed on it for a week or so and went back. They did an instant drug test and I passed with flying colors. On my next appt he sent another drug screen to the Lab and it came back positive for methadone. That is outragous. I have never in my life taken Oxycontin or Methadone. How is this possible? Could it be he is trying to get rid of me because I’m a Senior on Medicare with Blue Cross supplement? He is a busy doctor and we have gotten along fine for the 15 years I have seen him, but I never got controlled substances from him. Why would the Lab tests come back dirty and the instant one clean, showing the Valium and Lortab that I am prescribed? Could the Soma be giving these false positives? I had a heart attack last year and got a Drug Eluting Stent. This stress is giving me chest pains from being accused of something i didn’t do. I also take Simvastatin and 2 baby aspirin, along with Calcium, Fish Oil, Flax Seed Oil and cinnamon capsules. Could any of that give a false positive? I wonder if the doctor is trying to get rid of me for some reason. What can I do to make this right?
