Open Question: Can i go from methadone treatment to pain management?

I’ve been going to the methadone clinic for about 2 years now for chronic pain, which is not what opiate replacement therapy is designed for. I’ve used the clinic because I’ve had no insurance, and methadone has helped with the pain, and it’s 360 dollars a month, vs pain management therapy at 3000 dollars a month w/o insurance. But now I’ve been legally disabled for 2 years, and I’ll have Medicare beginning this week. Are there any rules against a methadone patient changing to a pain management program, and what would be the best way for me to transition? I have chronic back pain and psciatica, and have been under some kind of pain treatment for about 7 years, mostly the m’done clinic.
