Open Question: Can a drug treatment center raise their rates without informing the patient?

My husband and I have been going to a methadone clinic the same one for almost 3 years now. It’s always been the same exact price since we have started going. The price includes your dosing, your drug tests, seeing a counselor As often as the counselor feels is necessary, and joining any groups you wish to go to. They don’t send us bills They bill our insurance who is through my husband employer then they will just ask me and all of a sudden for my deductible one day! This year it was in April when we hit our out-of-pocket I figured out in the beginning of February. When I went to pay they give me two totally different amounts for my husband and I Which should not happen because it should be the same for everybody! I asked the desk they had no clue. And like I said they don’t Send bills and or statements. And I didn’t have time to look into it because they wait so long to do their billing that I was paying for dosing that was done in January so Even though for the first time asked for their money in April they were threatening to not let us dose and treating me like a deadbeat Who wouldn’t pay my bill! Mine was $ 575.97 my husbands $ 496 After insurance. I finally asked and got an itemized statement to send I looked and I found o I WAS BEING CHARGED FOR MY COUNSELING APPOINTMENT FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE I STARTED GOING THERE! I HAVE BEEN SEEING THE SAME COUNCILOR THE ENTIRE TIME!!! SO THIS IS MY ?? THEY NEVER TOLD ME THEY WERE GOING TO START CHARGING ME TO SEE HER AND MY HUSBAND IS NOT BEING CHARGED TO SEE HIS!!! I am extremely upset not really about the charges but because I never stayed for the full session I always came late or left early or I canceled a few times. My sessions were for an hour I’m sure I only had probably 2 1hour sessions. If I knew I was paying $ 80 a session on top of my regular dosing amount I would met for an hour! Not 15-20 min! So before $ 17/day covered everything. Now we are being charged that plus $ 80. Shouldn’t they of had to inform me?
