walk….shit..vomit..sweating..cramping…i was not back to normal for over
a year…A YEAR……and methadone crubs criminal activity….hahaha

outlawed…the physical and emotional effects of it are far worse then any
3-7 day opioid withdrawl….?
you do have to drink in front of them, until you can be trusted with take
home doses and even then you have to drink a dose in front of them at least

like. Let’s see how you would feel if you or someone you love gets into
some sort of trouble like an addiction, a mental illness or maybe some
criminal activity. People’s attitude ALWAYS changes when it’s about them.

Methadone is more addictive than heroin. Heroin addicts should go cold
turkey. An “opiate withdraw is the most horrible feeling in the world?”

with that being said, I know some people who were using for 10+ years and
only had to be on methadone for a year or so before tapering off and are
still doing good.
You are confusing Suboxone with Subutex. Subutex(pure Bupernorphione ) is
only given to pregnant women, everyone else gets Suboxone which can’t be
shot up because it has naloxone in it (which is the antidote for opiates
and will throw you into withdrawal), which is why it is taken sublingually.
Also, Bupernorphione (the active ingredient in Suboxone) has a ceiling
effect of about 32mg/d. It can’t be worse than IVing 10 bags of street dope
a day for years on end.
@crookshanks576 Suboxone does have fewer side effects. I know people who
have to take stool softeners when on Methadone and nearly everyone gains
weight.
Also you created a highly improbable scenario (one of the fallacies of your
reasoning). What if one keeps dosing repeatedly, ignoring warning signs
(which are plenty). – Well – then one is simply foolish – (it has little to
do with danger of methadone itself). When compared that to how fast
Fentanyl (present in China white heroin + many others injectable and orally
taken opiates) can kill a person with almost no warning – methadone is
CLEARLY safER (EVEN if abused)- 1 of reasons it was chosen.
More deaths also has to do with the fact that half the people on methadone
shouldnt be, someone who takes like 6-8 vicoden should never go on
methadone.
I like how this video talks about Methadone deaths increasing 400% in the
past few years, but what they don’t mention is that Methadone prescriptions
have gone up thousands of percentage points due to the demonization of
oxycontin and percocet. Insurance companies love methadone because it’s
cheaper and the doctors like it because it keeps the dea out of their
offices. Methadone prescribed for addicts is probably the most regulated
medication is existence.
dumb fuks should make them take the drug in front of them. i cant leave the
chemist with my dose, i have to take in front of them. they should do this
at these clinics but i guess they’re just really dumb or really lazy. silly
set up they have.
a drug addict is mentally ill and spiritually poor, you’re probably
addicted to something, food, sex , etc. too much of anything is sinful .
don’t knock or judge what you don’t understand. I’m a recovering addict, me
staying clean depends on what i can do for still sick and suffering addicts
out there. It could be a member of your family that you really love, me and
my n.a. family would give them all the love and support they need to get
their lives back together
I’ve been on Methadone for apx. 15+ years, and it saved my life as well as
many others. Sounds like you kinda mad because they kicked you off of the
MMT program due to your Xanax & Colnazepam abuse. Oh and BTW, if you were
abusing Benzos, half of the withdraw and mental problems, (anixity,
Insomnia, panic attacks etc) is due to comming off the Benzos.
