It Has Been 18 Days Since I Ovulated, Still No Period. Are There Any Explanations Besides Pregnancy?

Question by J Kid: It has been 18 days since I ovulated, still no period. Are there any explanations besides pregnancy?
It appears that I ovulated around day 21-22 of my cycle based on cervical mucous and a rise in basal body temperature. I had sex using a condom on day 23 and experienced cramping 9 days later (about the time implantation might occur). It is now day 39 (17-18 days after suspected ovulation) and I still have not had my period. I took a pregnancy test today, which turned out negative. I am breastfeeding my 13-1/2 month old, but have already ovulated two other times, followed by periods within a completely normal amount of time.
