Is Anyone Familiar With or Has Any One Use This for Their Dogs?

Question by : Is anyone familiar with or has any one use this for their dogs?
Two of my Chihuahuas, have been fighting Liver Disease for a while now. Today when I took them both back to the vet, we go there once a week, the vet prescribed a pain medication called “Buprenorphine” for my one Chihuahua, Gigi! She’s been experiencing pain, when she eats anything at all, and has not been able to keep anything down, or digest it, when she was doing much better 2 days ago. For the last almost 4 months, I have been Syringe Feeding her every 3 hours and making sure she gets her meds on time! From what I have read, this drug is similar to Morphine. Is there anyone out there, that can tell me if you have ever had to use this on your dog, and what kind of side effects, your dogs experienced? Was it effective? Anything more you can tell me about it, would be great. She is on other medications, and will be for a while, so I am just trying to know everything I can, about the meds she is taking. Just gives me some peace of mind, to know everything about what I’m giving her!
Anyone’s dog ever experienced any nasty side effects! Gigi was given this medication this afternoon by the vet at about 4pm, and she is still sound asleep at 8:45! Is that a normal reaction, or should I be worried ?
To Kermit 23! FYI! I’m sorry but you are wrong, about this drug not being similar to Morphine or that is not as potent as Morphine! My vet told me that she uses it on patients recovering from serious surgery, I have already done some research on this drug and know for a fact, that it is just like Mophine. Here is the link to prove it:

What I am asking is if anyone is familiar with it or if anyone has used it on their dogs, what the side effects were, and if anyone’s dog has experienced any bad reactions from it!
Sorry Kermit 23! Scroll down to where it say’s, Narcotic Pain Relievers!
