Firstly, marijuana (THC) is not a narcotic. Only opioids (pain killers like heroin, morphine, and oxycodone) are technically narcotics. But cocaine is legally a narcotic in the United States.
If you used 1 time depending on age, weight, metabolism, and how much you used it can last for several weeks. Most likely a single use should only be detected for a week at most. But it can be longer. THC is hard to predict because it lasts a VERY long time compared to anything else. And using it 2-3 times can often be detected 3-4 weeks later. And a person who uses a lot can be positive for a very long time.
Also some drug tests are more sensitive than others. But you need a week to be safe. And don’t use those “detox” kits for a urinalysis. They don’t help and if they do help, the tests are made to make sure certain proteins and concentrations are normal. When people “flush” their system it typically becomes abnormal and even a negative test will be red flagged and failed.
