i dont think so unless you are physical enabled by it…..if you mental issues because of it probably but not just a drug addiction…i am on SSI and you wouldn’t know it if you seen me but i have anxiety and depression and other things….has your dr said you were….obviously you can’t go back to where you were…they maybe able to help you get a job in a different area….

Sorry, I do not have a definite answer today to this question, but it used to be, yes! I did not think it was fair until I learned so many reasons for the addictions- it can be a form of “self-treatment” for an undiagnosed…chemical imbalance etc…there has to be someone who knows when and how the rules/guidelines have changed…LOL
