Treatment for Rope Burn?

Question by Ashleigh: Treatment for rope burn?
My horse spooked as I was leading him out of his stall today and instead of letting go, I held onto the lead and now have a very painful rope burn on my fingers. Has this every happened to any of you? Are there any good home remedies for helping it to heal and stop burning? I heard aloe vera helps, but anything else?

Thanks!

Petro Carbo salve made by Watkins. It’s in a red flat-like can.
This stuff works WONDERS. I put it on all cuts, abrasions, burns & it heals fast & nicely.

You could use Triple Antibiotic Ointment too. They even sell it at the Dollar store!!!
