Percocet is constipating. It is the oxycodone component in the medication that does it, not the tylenol.

Take the medication with a lot of water and drink water frequently during the day. Also increase fiber in your diet. If that doesn’t work, try a stool softener, available over the counter at any drug store.

I would suggest you get another doctor soon if you are going to be on this medication long term or have a condition requiring it that needs follow up. Doctors in the USA cannot prescribe narcotic medications anymore without a “hands on” exam first, so no new doctor will refill this medication for you without an appointment. Your new doctor will be able to try out different muscle relaxants until one is found that doesn’t cause the diarrhea.
