TV9 – Denied money for drugs, Mangalore girl commits suicide – TV9 – Denied money for drugs, Mangalore girl commits suicide….! Substance abuse claimed another victim when a 18-year-old girl, a resident in Mangalore, committed suicide late Saturday night after her parents refused to give her money to buy drugs. Sneha Upadhya, who dropped out of Sharada Vidyalaya PU college, was found hanging in her room. Sneha had allegedly been taking drugs for more than a year. When her parents found out that she was into drugs and had been keeping bad company, they discontinued her studies and put her on treatment for drug abuse. But Sneha was unable to kick the habit and craved for drugs. When her parents refused to give into her demands for money to buy drugs, Sneha committed suicide.
