Open Question: Does methadone show up in a saliva drug screen?
I was given a saliva drug screen (random) @ my pain clinic. Only supposed to have oxycodone in my system. I took the meth because I ran out of oxy early, dose they give doesn’t help enough so I take more & once it’s gone I have to take what I can get to help my pain for one & not get sick for two. Anyway I don’t want the meth to show up so I ran water over it so it’ll come back inconclusive & hopefully be able to take another.

Open Question: I tested positive for methadone, am i screwed?
I got a call today for a job offer and they needed me to go do a drug test before they officially hire me. Unfortunately i took 20 mg of methadone yesterday for a killer headache i had and it showed up on my test today! The clinic lady said they would send it off to the lab to run more tests. my question is HOW DO I EXPLAIN TO MY EMPLOYER THAT IT WAS A ONE TIME THING AND I AM NOT A DRUG ADDICT? btw the only reason i have methadone is because i was prescribed it 2 years ago as an alternative to oxycodone. yesterday was the first time i took some in over a year. WILL I BE FINE IF I JUST EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPENED AND THAT I WAS PRESCRIBED IT AWHILE AGO? WILL THEY NEED PRESCIPTION DOCUMENTATION FROM TWO YEARS AGO? ANYBODY BEEN IN THIS SITUATION BEFORE?
