Open Question: Looking For Advice on CPS!!?
To start I live in Fredericton New-Brunswick Canada had to put that out there cause I’m hoping to get some responses from people that live in or around my area, or at least New-Brunswick only because I need accurate information on Child Protection Services! Ok They got involved with me 16 months ago when there was a report made that I was using pills, I didn’t deny it and I went for the drug test on Oct 27 2012, on Nov 4th I started Methadone, I have never not once had a dirty test, and I was tested anywhere from 1-3 times weekly and am still being randomly tested through my Methadone program, problem is it’s 16 months later and the social worker and parent aide are visiting once a week and there’s no signs of them closing my case I’ll be lucky to have them out of my face by the time my boy starts school in September,he’s started stuttering and he’s had sleep problems since he was an infant so dummy here gave him Melatonin for a week, when the social worker asked me I was honest and said yes I did give it to him, i’m very lucky they know me as well as they do or else she said she would have taken him into care Thursday when I told her about the Melatonin, she called the medical clinic and made an appointment with the nurse practitioner, and plans to attend the appointment with me I don’t understand this, is it not my right to say no? I want to call a lawyer I need to know my rights and what I can do to get these people out of my life I’m exhausted from all this BS they throw at me so if anyone has any suggestions or knows if a lawyer would talk to me then please please comment, I’m at the end of my rope and I’m starting to feel like they’re looking for a reason to take my son :(

I am tired of abusing opiates and today I went on Methadone. I went to a Methadone clinic today for the first time and I was dosed 30mg and it seems to be working. Did I make the right choice?

I have been abusing opiates for around 10 years and I recently had enough and tried to stop. I failed. So today I went to a Methadone clinic and took my first dose. Am I making the correct. choice by doing this?
