Will Taking Acetaminophen Products Aid With Hydrocodone Withdrawals?

Question by trey: Will taking acetaminophen products aid with hydrocodone withdrawals?
A buddy of mine is a hydrocodone addict, and he is currently withdrawing..He’s a relavitely healthy guy,and knows he can beat it,just wants a little edge off the sensitivity the withdrawals have caused..

Alot of rest, water, healthy foods etc,I know, but will products with acetaminophen help ? and, being addicted to hydrocodone 10/650’s,could the withdrawals be from not having the acetaminophen too? Or -only- the codeine?

Thanks
His addiction consists of anywhere from 10mg’s a day,- up to 35mg’s a day,for about 6 months. Not bad,but enough to be suffering without

Acetaminophen is not addictive and will not help with easing the symptoms of withdrawal. The first 36-48 hours are usually the most difficult and should be over within 72-96 hours. The best thing that you can do for him is to offer all the support you can. He may also get benefit from attending AA or NA meetings.
