Open Question: ok, so i’m gonna try this again! is it ILEGAL for a methadone clinic to take me off while pregnant?
i just recently posted this, and got a attacked by a bunch of cruel uneducated people. even a nurse at that LOL. i dont need your opinions on how you feel about the fact that i am on methadone while pregnant. but i did not have a choice. i have accepted that i was an addict, but i have been clean for 3 months now. and i will CONTINUE to STAY clean for the greater good of myself and my child! and the future that the both of us will have. now, i’m at 55mg a day. this has been my dose since i started. since the department of social services is so damn unorganized!! the first time i applied they couldnt get all the paperwork together that i DID hand in, and my case was denied. so i had to reapply all over again, and wait another 60 days. and am still waiting for the process to finish. but it should not be too much longer. today- when i went in for my dose i had to meet with the finincial counseler for the very first time in the 2 months i hae been there. she said that the “rules” were that i need to pay 65$ a week in order to continue recieving my treatment. but this was so sudden, and i havent had to do this the whole time. and no i have no family, nobody to assist me in paying this. and i DO work, but im still barely getting by. now i do NOT want anyone to tell me blahblah using taxpayers money, because I am one of those pople who NEED the help from the governement. there are millions of other people out there who DO NOT. they refuse to get jobs, rahter then trying. and they soak off the governement for god knows how long. even with there benz, and their gold chains, and their designer clothes. they got there hair did and theyre nails. but i guess THOSE people really need the help huh. besides the point i am young, pregnant, in recovery and i work my @$ $ off to support myself. the coast of living- im sure as you all know, is ridiculous. and now i have the stress of a newborn on the way. so if anyone knows the answer to this question PLEASE let me know. otherwise, i do not wish to hear about your opinions on me being pregnant on methadone. i will let you know before you even bother it is the most effective, safe thing for my baby. suboxone/subutex has little to no research compared to methadone. i am aware my baby might go through some withdrawl after he is born, but it is much better than losing him completely because i had to go through withdrawal myself, and the extreme stress from that will be put on my baby as well. i know what im doing, i know what im in for. and im doing the very best i possibly can. i live in NY, and i’m just curious if it is legal for them to take me off? knowing im pregnant? and knowing the dangers? now im not sure if thats what they’re even going to do- but just in case. I’m engaged? and i live with my finace? so we are going to have sex….and the first pregnancy is rarely rarellllyyy planned. and i am allergic to a ton of BC, and ovarian cancers run in my family so i dont want to risk it w/ implantion BC or whatever. and the shot made me bleed for 8 months straight. so i’d really rather not. this baby is my miracle. i couldnt ask for a better way to overcome my addiction. like i said, i do not wish to recieve OPINIONS. thank you. i just want an answer. thank you jennifer! great idea! i never thought of that!
