Open Question: i was detoxing off methadone at one clinic. transferred with dr’s orders on detox and they wont let me?
I relapsed for about a month and i tried cold turkey. Didn’t work while going to work so i had to try methadone. 30 was too much and made me sick, so i stayed at 20. after a month i tried going down 2 mg and felt hardly anything. Cost and transportation is difficult so dr and I put me on slow detox of 2 mg decrease ever 2 weeks. Since then I couldn’t pay and got on a program they didn’t offer. Switched clinics and they won’t let me go down for a month…not even 1 mg. Then they say they don’t want me decreasing two try one. I feel like this is just a legalized dope dealer. PATHETIC. lDoes anyone have any feedback or advice. Cause I’m ready to transfer back and be completely broke to have input in my recovery. I have no problem goin to a therapist…recovery counslor but do i need to stay on methadone ?????
