okay heres the story… for weeks my fiance has been on 50mg of Methedone a day, and about 12mg of xanax. awful… well Saturday he ran out of xanax, and figured hed stop abusing them or using them at all for that matter. so without weening (stupid) he quit. Sunday morning he got his methedone like anyother morning but was minus the xanax, he had a seizure that evening. Got rushed to the ER and they did nothing for his benzo withdrawl except give him a timy 1mg dose of ativan and sent him home. The next day he continued to not use and this time dropped the methedone too and didnt have any further prescriptions, he was fine and just slept all day and was shakey, so i guess we assumed the worst of the withdrawls were over.. WRONG, the next day after seeming completly fine, he seizured again and got sent to the ER. there they are now giving him Methedone, xanax/ ativan, and colonidine. no seizures which is good.. but now hes hellucinating like nothing ive ever seen hes completly manic and is showing skitzo behavior like a complete MADDDD person, i think there debating wether or not to send him to a psych ward. but hes NEVER been ANNNY kind of crazy! hes one of the calmest people ive ever met. whats going on!? if there giving him all these meds… why is he freaking out..??!! why is he like a whole new person? does withdrawl do this? was it an awful effect of the seizure? is he damaged for life? im so afraid and his nurses nd dr dont seem to know whats going on they even questioned if he was on meth, checked his urine and hes completely clean except for benzos and methedone. has anyone ever seen this if so please help me out. i hope he hasnt lost his mind or something =/
