Can You Get “Brain Zaps” Without Being on Any Kind of Medication?

Question by ??: Can you get “brain zaps” without being on any kind of medication?
I have been experiencing brain zaps/shocks for more than 3 weeks now. I’ve searched on Google for this issue but most of the causes has been from “withdrawal” of antidepressants, which I’m not on.

The feeling is like an electrical/shocking sounds in my head. These sensation last for less than 2 seconds, and I get them so many times throughout the day.I mostly get them when turning in bed or sometimes when I turn my head left, right, up, or down. I went to my pedatrician and he said to just take a pain reliever, which did not help…

Could this be from anxiety? I say this because I have also been suffering from palpitations for years..and will be getting my overall anxiety treated soon by psychologist.

I get electric shock feelings, which sounds like what you described. i get them in my head, in my body and hands. i have been told its anxiety related, which i didnt believe but i have recently noticed that i get them when i get panic attacks. talk to your phychologist about it if its still worrying you.
