i am making the transition from breastfeeding to formula. how much formula should my 6 month old…16lbs baby be taking in at each feeding. the formula container says 7-8oz for this age, that seems like alot to me. is there any “side effects” i should be watching for during this transition?

that sounds about right actually, my 4 month old son is 16 pounds and he eats 5-7 ounces every 3 hours.
baby will probably have an upset stomach until he’s used to the formula. And there will be more spit up than on breastmilk and you will need to burp more often. Just make sure there is no projectile vomiting.
