well ok lets get it out there and in the open, im 22, 4 months pregnant, and on methadone for opiate addiction for last 5 yrs. im on 92mg, went up from 60 because as i expected my normal dose wasnt holding me while pregnant. but now its not holding me thru the morning now and all i want to do is just get high. but i wont do that cuz its been a very long time and i was starting to get off the clinic when i found out i was pregnant, but they wont let me detox pregnant. im just very annoyed that i go up and then a week later i feel like crap again. just idk what to do and im really not to fond of going up so high on my dose, the people at the clinic wont help, just ready to put my dose up. i just dont know what to do and how to get over these feelings, i havent felt like this in 4 years

I was a Heroin addict for 7 years, but about 4 or 5 years ago i got on Methadone and now i do noe illegal drugs. without the methadone i would most likely still be useing,. But now the drug-lifestyle is way behind me, with about four years completely clean. I am on a HUGE dose, 275mg a day. THe people at the clinic i go to know nothing about getting off, they are just concerned with people staying on (so they can make more money). they tell me it could be two years or more, but i felt like they just want me to pay for it for another two years. Is this the normal time to kick methadone after 5 years of methadone and before that 7 years of black tar Heroin??

the person is in her late 20’s. every time we bring it up to her she refuses to go. she is usuing methadone right now and trying to get clean that way on her own. everyone tells us though that her best chance of recover is in a clinic with proffesionals. any help would be great. thank you

we have a family member in her late 20’s with a heroin addiction. we just learned about her addiction a couple days ago. she has told us she currently has stopped using heroin for 4 days. she has been using 80 ml of methadone (that she is buying from a different drug dealer) to help her deal with her heroin withdrawly symptoms… we wanted her to to go to in patient. she told us shes not strong enough to deal with the withdrawls cold turkey. she promised us she would go to an out-patient. yesterday she told us she went, but the clinic wouldnt admit her because shes been taking methadone. (is this true?) she told us shes going to continue to buy methadone from her dealer and quit that way. she is a huge addict and SHE LIES TO US ALL THE TIME when shes trying to get money for drugs. our family knows nothing about drugs or drug addiction. we dont know what to do or what to believe.
please help us. were just trying to be around her all the time. were having her move back home with us soon. she is incredibly sneaky though. she’s been using opiods for 4 years and began shooting heroin a year ago without anyone knowing.
any help on how we can deal with this would be amazing. thank you

been going to a methadone clinic for 9 days started at 30 mg and now I am on 80.. went for 9 days. stopped going.. I have a drs appt in 20 dAYS will it still be det4ected ihn my urine? and is there anyway to get it out faster.. i am not taking it anymore? help??
